Stu & Kiernan 12•27•08

I had the honor of photographing Stu and Kiernan's wedding yesterday.
I have known Kiernan for years but I never knew what a strong, composed women she is. The dresses were late arriving to the church and two loves of her life were sick with the flu which resulted in Stu making a trip to the ER just hours before the wedding. Through it all, she remained so composed and was even cracking jokes which I think helped put everyone at ease.
You guys had a beautiful day, Kiernan you made a beautiful bride and Stu you were a pretty handsome groom too!
Here are a few of my favorites so far! I wish the two of you the best that your married life can bring you.

Thanks again for letting us be a part of your special day!

Baby Boy Cooper

Here is another family session from a few weeks ago, meet my cousin & belly! I called her when I was in MB last time and asked her if she still wanted maternity portraits, she said yes, and this is the result.

We even had soon to be big brother Naron do some fancy artwork on his mom's belly! He thought it was fun at first and then wanted his hands washed!!!

Now if you are a praying person, please say a little pray for her and her baby. She was admitted to the hospital last week and the last update I got was that she is still there. She is 34 1/2 weeks along so this little bundle needs to stay put.

I hope you like the portraits and I am so glad we did them when we did!

Hope you guys are all still doing great, and remember you are in the bet place, even if the food isn't so great!

The Hammonds

This is my sister, brother in law and my adorable nephew and niece.

I did this session the same day I did my other sister's and my mom & Keith's session so they have waited a while to see these. I made them pla a quick game of "operator" and had a few laughs! And I had to show my little niece given me "attitude".

I found a lot of favorites so far but here are a few!

Mom & Keith

Meet my mom & my step-dad Keith!

I did this session for my parents because they haven't had a nice picture of just the two of them for a while ( mom said since my one sister's wedding and that was 8 years ago). Every picture I have of them together my mom is standing with her back to Keith and they look...well let's just say it isn't a great look for two people that have been married for however many years (a lot).

See how much better it looks when you are facing each other!!!!

Here are some of my new favorite pictures of this set of parents!!

The Renwick's

I did this session for my sister, brother in law and nieces a few weekends ago. But I have been busy and well they are family so I am just getting these posted now!

Here are a few of my favorites so far.

Sorry it took me so long guys!

Beautiful Mother & Daughter's

I had the pleasure of photographing Nancy, Lindsay & Jacey this afternoon. They wanted some new pictures to give to Nancy's husband & the girls dad as a surprise. We got some great shots of all of the pretty ladies in his life (even the cute puppy Reese)!

I looked through all the pictures and you guys really are a beautiful bunch of ladies! Here are a few of my favorites so far!

Thanks again for stopping by.

Cole & Dana

I have the honor of photographing Cole & Dana's wedding next summer so we thought we would get together for a pre-husband & wife session! I don't think I can really call this an engagement session because Dana told me she just wanted some new pictures of her and Cole together!

We started inside and then we ventured out in the snow. It was 36 degrees out so it was actually nice considering!!! Isn't it funny how our perspective changes, 36 degrees is nice but if we had a summer day that was 36 degrees man it would be cold!

Anyways, enough about the weather, here are a few of my favorites from today. I can guarantee the next time I see these two, they won't need their hats on.

Thanks again for coming in today guys and I will see you in July!

Brandon (in Studio)

Brandon's mom was able to convince him to come in for some studio shots. We were both excited (Brandon's mom & I) because we got some shots of Brandon without his hat on this time!

Sorry it took me so long to get these posted tonight Brandon. Here are some of my favorites from today.

Thanks again for coming in today Brandon.

The Seykora's

The Seykora's came to Minot today for our session this afternoon. We started indoors & then headed outside to take advantage of the gorgeous day.

Naomi is such a little cutie. She will be two in December so she is busy! I was able to bribe her into sitting for me for a little bit to get some great shots. Once she was tired of me & my Cheerios, we headed outside for some fun in the sun & leaves.

We got some very cute shots of Naomi and Mom & Dad; here is a small sample of what I have looked at so far.

Thanks again for coming to town today!!

The Rostad's

The Rostad's stopped by this morning for a session so we did some pictures inside & then made our way to the park!

Addisyn was very into posing today, she made me laugh! Kasen on the other hand wasn't interested in having his picture taken today. We did get some great shots of both of them though and we even managed to get some great family shots too!

Here are a few of my favorites so far.

Thanks for coming in today guys!

Portfolio Building Special Ending in THREE WEEKS....

I am proud to announce that my Porfolio Building Special will be ending on November 4th, 2008!!! I have worked with a lot of great families during the last few months & I want to thank all of you for allowing me to photograph you & your families.

What exactly does this mean? It means that as of November 4th, 2008 my portfolio building special that included a complimentary session, complimentary 8x10 print & 30% discount will be discontinued. My regular session fee of $50 will be in place & the portrait costs will be at full price. Now this doesn't mean that I won't be offering specials in the future but this particular special will no longer be in effect.

If you have already booked your holiday session with Angela K Photography, you will still receive the portfolio building special. There are still a few sessions available in October that will qualify for the portfolio building special so give me a call or send me an email to book your session.

I just have to say again THANKS to all of my portfolio building babies, children, seniors & families. I look forward to seeing you all again!

Ian & Brenna

You might remember Brenna from a long time ago on the blog but Ian is new to Angela K Photography!

Brenna loves getting her picture taken, she loves to smile. Ian just lost his front two teeth about a week ago so he was being a little silly when it came time for him to smile!

Thanks for stopping over guys!

Lillie

I am not sure if any of you remember me posting about Lillie a while ago and then updating saying that we had raised enough money to send Lillie & her family to the ocean.

Well friends it is with a sad heart that I tell all of you that Lillie has passed away. She got her wings on September 3rd. I just read about her passing so I wanted to come back to the blog & make sure to pass on the news in case any of you great people out there sent a donation to her ocean cause.

If you want to read more on Lillie & her journey her caringbridge page can be found here.
